Russia’s Renova to launch 70 MW sun power facilities in 2016

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Apr 6 (PRIME) -- Hevel, an affiliate of Russian multi-industry corporation Renova, plans to launch 70 megawatt (MW) of sun power generating assets in 2016, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Hevel will build 70 MW of sun generating assets until the year’s end. This will account for about one third of the entire volume of new sun generation launches, which investors in the country schedule for 2016,” Hevel said.

Hevel will soon start construction of the Ust-Kanskaya SES solar plant with a capacity of 5 MW in the Altai republic. It will continue building two units of Bugulchanskaya SES in Urals, of 5 MW each, and extending the capacity of Buribayevskaya SES twofold to 20 MW.

Three more solar plants with a total capacity of 45 MW will be built in the Orenburg Region.
